How to tell McDonald's your order was wrong? ›

My order is not correct or is missing items:

To report and resolve any issues, first identify who was handling your delivery—Uber Eats or DoorDash. Check the bottom of the receipt in your email to find out the vendor. Please contact Uber Eats at 866-987-3744 or DoorDash at 833-510-0332.

Once your order starts being prepared, you cannot cancel your order. You can get updates on your order progress in the app.

What if I have an issue with a payment or want a refund? If you have an issue with a payment, kindly fill in this form and one of our McDonald's® Customer Service representatives will handle your request, within 24 to 48 hours. Our customer care representatives work office hours Monday to Friday.

7.3 For the McDelivery Platform, requests for refunds should be directed to McDelivery customer support on 1300 665 610. For the MyMacca's App, requests should be directed to the manager of the relevant restaurant.

The most common complaint by far is wait time. Having worked at 3 McDonalds, I can tell you that customers get angry during rush hours (8–10, 11:30–1:30,4–6). Other complaints may be due to inaccurate food orders or the lobby being dirty.

Call them, tell what items are missing and that you are coming back to pick up the items that you have paid for and bring the receipt with you. Don't be ugly about it. Most of the time the person filling your bag is not the one handing it to you through the window.

The restaurant or store may be forced to cancel your order due to exceptional circ*mstances such as sold-out products, technical problems or extreme weather conditions.

To cancel your order, you'll need to do this on the Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub app or website where you placed the order.

After you place an order, you can only request changes and cancellations through the delivery partner or the restaurant.

As a result, our restaurants waste less than 1% of edible food stock. Unfortunately we can't send cooked food to be eaten elsewhere as this would breach our food safety policies, but we do send all leftover food for composting, rendering or anaerobic digestion.

At this time, orders cannot be changed after you submit payment. You can cancel your original order using the “Cancel Order” button in your order details. Once your order starts being prepared, you cannot cancel your order. You can get updates on your order progress in the app.

If your order has been delivered, and something's damaged or doesn't appear to be cooked properly, please visit the help page via the get help link on your order screen and select I'm unhappy with my order. We like to look into these matters as soon as possible, so you'll have up to 24 hours to submit a claim.

If you've received the wrong order, it may be a fleeting moment of awkwardness but it can be fixed by taking a deep breath, flagging your waiter, and asking for it to be corrected. You may feel flustered but don't take it out on your waiter, mistakes happen. You don't know what went wrong or who's fault it is.
