If you are having difficulty signing in, it could be because of your username or password. First, double-check that you are using the correct sign-in information. Students without an email address associated with their account will need to contact their teacher for help.

IXL subscriptions offer students and teachers unlimited access from any computer connected to the Internet. There is even a free app; IXL can go anywhere you go! Remind your students to sign in so all their progress is tracked—no matter what device they are using or where they are!

Sign in to IXL by entering your student username and password at www.ixl.com. Teachers: Retrieve student usernames and passwords by signing in to your teacher account and opening your roster.

IXL has helped students continue to learn because it provides a unique approach to personalized learning. Lack of Personalization: Another issue with IXL is its one-size-fits-all approach. It does not consider individual student needs or different learning styles. As a result, learners who require additional support or those who excel in certain areas may feel frustrated or unchallenged respectively.

IXL has a strong focus on math and language arts, while Khan Academy offers a wider range of subjects. Consider your learning style: If your child is a visual learner, then you may prefer Khan Academy's videos and articles. If your child is an auditory learner, then you may prefer IXL's games and quizzes.

While we offer memberships for online practice that are widely used by teachers and homeschool parents to support their teaching, we are not an accredited school and are not authorized to verify or issue school credits. Completing skills on IXL will not equate to proof of grade completion or transcripts.

A skill is mastered when the SmartScore reaches 100, but the number of questions it takes to master a skill varies with every student. To continuously motivate students, IXL recommends setting other practice milestones along the way to mastery. A score of 80 is proficient, and a score of 90 is considered excellent.
